ScanSnap Improvement Program

By participating in the ScanSnap Improvement Program, users can contribute to improving the functionality, reliability, and performance of the ScanSnap to enhance convenience and usability.

Participation in the Program is optional. Information on the use of the ScanSnap is automatically collected from participants only. The collected information is encrypted and is periodically sent to PFU Limited via the Internet. Because the information is collected and sent automatically, it does not negatively affect the operability or the performance of the ScanSnap.

The information that is collected anonymously is used by PFU Limited and the PFU group to improve their products and related services. For improving the software for the convenient use of scanners, the information may also be shared with the developers.

How often is the information sent? How much information is sent at once?

The information that is collected is automatically sent regularly. The amount of information that is sent depends on your use of the ScanSnap and ScanSnap Home, but it is usually a few KB or less.

Is there any possibility that I might receive an e-mail or experience inconvenience by participating?

No. The ScanSnap Improvement Program is anonymous. It does not solicit any personal information such as your name (information such as your e-mail address is irreversibly encrypted then collected as described above). It will not ask you to participate in a survey or send you an e-mail. You can use the ScanSnap as usual without participating in the Program, but we appreciate your cooperation with the ScanSnap Improvement Program to offer products that are more convenient and user-friendly.

Can I cancel my participation after I choose to participate?

Yes. You can start or stop participating in the ScanSnap Improvement Program at any time.
You can check or modify the status of your participation by the following method./p>

1. Display the [Information collection settings] screen from the menu of ScanSnap Home for iOS / Android. (The detail of the procedure is as follows.)
   1. From the menu of ScanSnap Home for iOS / Android, select [Settings].
   2. In the [Settings] screen, select [Information collection settings].
   3. In the [Information collection settings] screen, tap [Agree to the collection of information to improve the ScanSnap].
